They defeated the team of Ryan Kolecki, Simon Goodman, and Luke Deratzou to face the top-seeded team of Pete Ingram, Daryl Ayers, and Shaheen Soorani in the semis. After taking care of the No. 1, Medrano, Nikolich, and Rosum beat Franklin Fulks, Kristen Weiss, and Ryan Hayes in the finals.
Medrano, Nikolich, and Rosum took home the trophies and $6,000 in prize money. The top four teams all earned Regional Championship qualifications.
