Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC), take a look at the legendary sword of Aragorn from The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth — Andúril, Flame of the West!
Andúril, Flame of the West was reforged from the shards of Narsil, the sword Isildur used to cut the One Ring from the hand of Sauron during the final battle of The War of the Last Alliance. Now we can see it in MTG form as a legendary artifact.
Andúril costs three mana to play and two to equip to a creature. It grants +3/+1 to the equipped creature and creates two 1/1 white Spirit creatures with flying that enter the battlefield tapped when it attacks. If the equipped creature is legendary, those Spirits enter the battlefield attacking as well.
The stunning art for Andúril, Flame of the West by Irvin Rodriguez was previewed by the official Magic: The Gathering Twitter account on May 28 and has more than 10 million views.
The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth releases globally on June 23. View our card image gallery for the set.
