With Arena Open: Bloomburrow coming up this weekend, here are ten common and uncommon combos and synergies you need to know for Bloomburrow’s Limited formats.

1. Harvestrite Host + Intrepid Rabbit // Hop to It // Head of the Homestead

Harvestrite Host

Intrepid Rabbit Hop to It Head of the Homestead

Not only is Harvestrite Host’s second sentence incredibly strong, Bloomburrow Limited has an abundance of cards that will let you draw free cards. You can always cast an additional Rabbit in the same turn, or bust out the Carrot Cake like any good host should!

2. Cache Grab + Eddymurk Crab

Cache Grab Eddymurk Crab

Two cards not commonly paired together, but powerful when built around. Cache Grab is incredibly efficient at filling up your graveyard, while pulling the Eddymurk Crab out of the proverbial sand.

3. Shore Up + Tempest Angler

Shore Up Tempest Angler

If your deck uses Tempest Angler as its win condition, this is a common Turn 4 play, keeping up Shore Up the rest of the game as the Angler grows.

4. Stormcatch Mentor + Pearl of Wisdom

Though Stormcatch Mentor hasn’t performed all that well from what I’ve seen, paying one mana for a draw-two is still pretty sweet.

5. Splash Portal + Pond Prophet

On the topic of the one-mana draw two, here’s another nice option to do so. Daring Waverider is also worth mentioning, as you can draw a free card if Splash Portal is in your graveyard when you cast it!

6. Moonstone Harbinger + Moonrise Cleric // Lifecreed Duo

Both Moonrise Cleric and Lifecreed Duo are nice pairings for Moonstone Harbinger, with Lifecreed Duo lining up as a quality Turns 2-3 sequence, but requiring a creature each turn for the trigger.

7. Seasoned Warrenguard + Carrot Cake

Seasoned Warrenguard Carrot Cake

This Turns 1-2 sequence nets you a 3/2 attacker on Turn 2. Really gives me some Wild Nacatl vibes.

8. Heartfire Hero + Feather of Flight

Heartfire Hero Feather of Flight

A strong Boros opener, this duo provides you an attacking 3/2 flyer on Turn 2 that Lightning Bolts your opponent when it dies.

9. Agate-Blade Assassin + Scales of Shale

Agate-Blade Assassin Scales of Shale

To be fair, Scales of Shale has a ton of great applications, but the pairing with Agate-Blade Assassin was a good one to highlight because of the Lizard synergy, and the Assassin wants to attack each turn, allowing you to trade-up easily.

10. Shrike Force + Treeguard Duo

Shrike Force Treeguard Duo

A strong combination to end the game out of nowhere, as well as a perfectly fine sequence on Turns 3-4 to dish out some solid damage.

Keep these combos, and one could help you win some money in the Arena Open!
