Star City Games to Host MTG’s Competitive 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 US Regional Championship Seasons

Star City Games will host the US Regional Championships through 2026!

Star City Games is excited to announce its partnership with Wizards of the Coast (WotC) to host the competitive 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 United States Regional Championship seasons for Magic: The Gathering. This includes the final Regional Championship in 2024, plus additional Regional Championship events in 2025 and 2026. Star City Games will also administrate all Regional Championship Qualifier (RCQ) seasons that feed each of those events.

For players, Regional Championships aren’t merely tournaments – they are experiences. Beginning with the final Regional Championship of 2024, those experiences will be held at SCG CON events, slated to take place on the West Coast, East Coast, and Central regions of the United States. All SCG CON events will continue to be FREE to attend.

“I’m excited to once again work with Wizards of the Coast in offering high-level, competitive Magic: The Gathering events,” says Pete Hoefling, President of Star City Games. “Qualifying for a Regional Championship is no small feat, and we aim to ensure that the experience qualified players receive matches the prestige of their accomplishment.”

The first Regional Championship to be hosted at SCG CON will be in Washington D.C., October 4-6, 2024. Additional details will be announced soon on the Star City Games Regional Championship Qualifier website. For a quick overview, visit our FAQ page
