There is plenty of Treasure to be found in the upcoming set and this green and red enchantment gives you another way to cash those tokens in if you don’t need the extra mana they produce.
When Stimulus Package enters the battlefield, create two Treasure tokens.
Sacrifice a Treasure: Create a 1/1 green and white Citizen creature token.
While four mana is a lot to spend for two 1/1 tokens, Stimulus Package sticks around and lets you turn all of your Treasure tokens into creatures at instant speed once its on the battlefield. On its own it is a little underwhelming, but if you are making a bunch of Treasure tokens, Stimulus Package can be a real threat. By being able to make 1/1 Citizens whenever you want, it also allows you to apply pressure at your opponent’s end step to play around sorcery speed removal.
Red and green already have some playable Treasure makers in cards like Magda, Brazen Outlaw, Prosperous Innkeeper, and Goldspan Dragon so it looks like Stimulus Package could find a home in Standard or Alchemy. Of course, the under-played Treasure Vault could unlock a nice combo of making a huge swath of tokens out of nowhere.
