Following preview season tradition, Magic: The Gathering Head Designer, Mark Rosewater, has shared his list of teasers for Tarkir: Dragonstorm to his Blogatog.
Rosewater started off by teasing several interesting inclusions in the set, such as a cycle of Dragonstorm enchantments, a typal enchantment for Dragons that’s based off a popular Zombie one, and a new subtype for instant and sorcery spells.
Next up are more specific teasers for the rules text on cards in the set. Here are a few of the most interesting:
- “If you put +1/+1 counters on five Dragons this way, you win the game.”
- “Spells you cast have delve.”
- “Whenever a creature you control enters, if you cast it, destroy that creature”
- “During your end step, Warrior tokens you control have ‘This token can’t be sacrificed.”
Lastly, Rosewater shared a list of unique creature types and full card names from the set. Some of the standout types from the list include Zombie Advisor, Djinn Cleric, Ape Snake, and Zombie Snake Warlock, and the card names are as follows:
- All-Out Assault
- Cruel Truths
- Desperate Measures
- Dragonologist
- Hundred-Battle Veteran
- Lightfoot Technique
- Rescue Leopard
- Seize Opportunity
- Stillness in Motion
- War Effort
The debut stream for Tarkir: Dragonstorm is scheduled to take place March 18 at 10 AM PT on the Magic Twitch channel.
