Magic: The Gathering has once again joined forces with popular mobile game, Puzzle and Dragons.
Described as a “Casual Puzzle game meets Core Strategy meets Classic RPG”, Puzzle and Dragons is published by GungHo Online Entertainment and has gained world-wide popularity since its launch in 2012. Despite being free to play, Puzzle and Dragons offers in-app purchases and was the first mobile game to gross $1 billion in revenue. The app first collaborated with MTG in June of 2018 and featured a wide variety of characters including:

- Chandra Nalaar
- Nissa Revane

Teferi
- AS: Move time 2x for 5 turns. Water and enhanced orbs are more likely to appear for 5 turns.
- LS: water’s HP 2.1x. Halves damage, 24x atk, 1 bonus damage when matching 6 or more water orbs.
Premium Card Teferi
- AS: Move time 2x for 5 turns. Water and enhanced orbs are more likely to appear for 5 turns.
Elspeth Tirel
- AS: Haste 2 turns. Maximum HP 3x and self atk 3x for 1 turn. Transforms to Archangel Elspeth
- LS: Light all parameters 1.5x. halves incoming damage and 12x atk when matching 8 or more combos. Adds 1 combo for each 5 light orbs matched.
Archangel Elspeth
- AS: Spawns a non-fire and non-dark roulette that lasts 1 turn. Move time and RCV 2x for 1 turn.
- LS: Light all parameters 2.2x. halves incoming damage and 14x atk when matching 8 or more combos. Adds 1 combo for each 5 light orbs matched.
Premium Card Archangel Elspeth
- AS: turns board to 7×6 for 3 turns. Light and heal orbs are locked as they appear for 99 turns.
Urza
- AS: Haste 2 turns, enhances all orbs, transforms into Plainswalker Urza
- LS: 70% damage reduction, 20x atk, adds 3 combos when matching 6 or more water orbs.
Planeswalker Urza
- AS: Spawns a non-dark roulette that last 3 turns, increases move time 1.5x for 3 turns, unlocks orbs
- LS: Vastly reduces damage, 28x atk, adds 4 combos when matching 6 or more water orbs.
Premium Card Urza
- AS: negates incoming damage for 2 turns, turns board to 7×6 for 2 turns.
Full Character Lineup
This crossover event will be available for Japanese users beginning April 17, 2023. No release date for the United States has been announced at this time.
