Wizards of the Coast (WotC) confirmed the formats for Pro Tour Aetherdrift in February and released that the name of the next marquee event at MagicCon: Las Vegas will be Pro Tour Magic: The Gathering — Final Fantasy.

Aetherdrift will be the first Standard tentpole release for Magic in 2025 and the associated Pro Tour will feature Standard Constructed and Aetherdrift Booster Draft. Pro Tour Aetherdrift is slated for February 21-23 — a week after the set releases — at MagicCon: Chicago and will take place at McCormick Place, Lakeside Center.

MagicCon: Las Vegas, which takes place from June 20-22, will play host to Pro Tour Magic: The Gathering — Final Fantasy. The highly anticipated Universes Beyond Standard-legal release for Final Fantasy is scheduled to release on June 13. The formats for Pro Tour Magic: The Gathering — Final Fantasy are still unknown.
