Gavin Verhey dropped a teaser video to his YouTube channel, Good Morning Magic, giving hints of cards coming in the Murders at Karlov Manor Commander Decks.
Verhey offered hints that tease only the new cards coming in the four decks, but this time his teaser has a twist. Two of the hints are false, leaving viewers to figure out which ones could be the made up hints.
- 1: There is a new card with the Clash mechanic.
- 2: There is a legend that cares about creatures with base power and toughness 2/2.
- 3: There is a new Azra in the set.
- 4: There is one new card that appears in all four decks.
- 5: There is an enchantment that begins, “Creatures you control get +X/+X, where X is…”
- 6: There is a black card in a many-year supercycle.
- 7: There is a card which gives all your clues a keyword ability.
- 8: There is a new card with the radiance mechanic.
- 9: There is a colorshifted version of a well-known Morph card.
- 10: There is a card which makes all your face-down creatures enter the battlefield with a specific keyword counter.
- 11: There is a card that begins, “If an opponent would begin an extra turn…”
- 12: There is a new card with the Gravestorm mechanic.
- 13: There is a card that checks a condition “if two or more players have lost the game”.
- 14: There is a creature with an unusual power/toughness combination, where the two numbers are the two LIES on this list. The lower number of the two is its power.
Crafty viewers will be able to construct the power and toughness of a creature in Hint 14 by identifying the two false hints in the list.
Verhey also showed off art for a card in each deck. See the pieces below.
Merchant of Truth will be in the Deep Clue Sea deck.
Unshakable Tail is in the Revenant Recon deck.
A legendary bear will appear in the Deadly Disguise deck.
Lastly, a new Feather will be in the Blame Game deck.
The four Commander Decks will all be previewed tomorrow. Deep Clue Sea will be revealed by The Command Zone, Revenant Recon by Loading Ready Run, Deadly Disguise by Rebell Son, and Blame Game by Commander at Home.
