Casssius Marsh, the former NFL linebacker, has upped his bounty for the serialized 001/001 The One Ring from The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth to $500,000.
Marsh made a previous offer of $150,000 last week on Twitter, where he said he will, “fly you out to California, show you a good time, and, most of all, make sure you get paid.” Replies to the initial tweet accused Marsh of lowballing, which led Marsh to tweet he would up his offer if shown a higher bid.
The $500,000 offer is the highest public offer on the serialized 001/001 The One Ring, since Wizards of the Coast (WotC) announced the inclusion of the unique promo on March 14. Marsh, who played eight seasons in the NFL, now owns Cash Cards Unlimited, a game store in Thousand Oaks, California with a large online presence.
The serialized 001/001 The One Ring can only be opened in an English Collector Booster of The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth.
The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth is scheduled to release on June 23. View our official preview gallery.
