Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has released their weekly MTG Arena update that includes details on the upcoming Historic and Explorer Anthologies, the next Arena Open, and more.
Explorer And Historic Anthologies Set For Release On July 28
The first Explorer Anthology and Historic Anthology 6 will be available to purchase through the MTG Arena store or by crafting on July 28. Each bundle will contain 20 cards and can be purchased in full for 4,000 gems or 25,000 gold. Buying the bundle grants four copies of each card. Players also have the option to craft individual cards with wild cards as well.
Each Anthology came with three cards to tease the set. The Explore Anthology previewed Favored Hoplite, Supreme Verdict, and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet.
Historic Anthology 6 is headlined by Tarmogoyf and will also include Avacyn, Angel of Hope, and Go-Shintai of Life’s Origin.
The rest of the cards from each Anthology will be revealed on social media with the full card list for each set coming on July 27.
Arena Open Scheduled For July 30-31
The next Arena Open is set for July 30-31 and will feature Alchemy Horizons: Baldur’s Gate Limited. Day 1 is Sealed and Day 2 is Draft. The structure for Day 2 has changed and will now feature two separate drafts instead of one. All players who enter will receive the Baldur’s Gate dragon sleeve.

Dungeons & Dragons Event
Play in the Dungeons & Dragons all-access event from July 18-28 and earn rulebook-style card frames. Dragons with mana value 5+ are cheaper, and every second spell will venture you further into the dungeon.
