Chalice of the Void was banned in Historic Brawl yesterday in an unannounced update posted in the MTG Arena Patch notes.
The prison-style artifact was added to Historic last week in Historic Anthology 6, and thus was also added to Historic Brawl. Due to it being able to keep players from casting their Commander, similar to cards like Meddling Mage and Sorcerous Spyglass, the card got hit by the ban hammer.
Other notables updates from the 2022.18.10 patch notes include:
- Fixed a bug that could cause audio to cut out mid-game
- Fixed a bug that caused the Thopter Pet to not show up properly on the battlefield
- Fixed a bug that caused the Tokyo Lands and Matt Jukes Lands to not have the land symbol in their titlebar
