This draft was interesting because after the first pack I was very uncertain about my colors, and still managed to pass two Sulfurous Blasts. Once I figured out my colors my deck ended up being pretty good, despite things like the first pick Opaline Sliver. The first round was almost a joke. My opponent didn’t have much of a clue. In the first game he suspended a Plunder, and targeted a Terramorphic Expanse when it went off, and also suspended two Divine Congregations, which never went off.

The secound round was very close. I played against a good White/Red deck with lots of Watcher and Bonesliver Slivers, which made me cut my slivers. For the first six turns of game 1 I didn’t think I could possibly lose. I had a really good curve, and his first play was Magus of the Disk. I got him to six when the Disk went off, and I had Ivory Giants with one and two counters on them with the help of my Jhoira’s Timebug. Unfortunately he had Watcher and Bonesplitter Slivers to hold off the Giants and strand the Essence Sliver in my hand, and he had removal for Witch Hunter. At that point I was out of gas, and he won by playing a couple more slivers. The second game was really tight. I was short on lands, but again had Timebug accelerating out my Giants (and Ancestral Vision). The board ended up getting very cluttered, and I was able to win a very close race with help from the Jedit’s Dragoons I sideboarded in. I would have lost if he wasn’t stupidly attacking his Soltari Priest into my Temporal Isolationed Iv y Giant every turn. Eventually his attacking let me attack with the Giant and play Wipe Away on it with damage on the stack for the last three points. If he’d been able to block there, he’d have won. We both had good draws for game 3. He had a Soltari Priest, Outrider en-Kor, Cavalry Master curve, while I had Icatian Crier to block his guys, and Serra Avenger hitting him in the air. The Dragoons again won me this game by putting me ahead in the race by just enough.
