I think the second pick of this draft was the most interesting and it was kind of a ‘where do you want to go today’ pick. I think taking the Infest or perhaps even the Strix would be reasonable but I’m much more confident that I’ll get to play my early picks if I take the similarly powered Topan Ascetic. After that I never really had a reason to leave Green White. I made a prospective pick with the War-Monk out of a weak pack but other than that I was pretty much WGr throughout.

I won the first round against a decent Bant deck. I lost the first game because I got stuck on five lands with Thoctar and Cerodon in hand and lost to some 2/2s. Games 2 and 3 I had the Cerodon on turn 5 and he wasn’t able to compete.

I lost the second round against a solid Grixis deck. I won the first game easily when I accelerated into big guys. Games 2 and 3 my draws were quite poor. Both games I got ahead early and then flooded. Another spell or two would’ve won either game.
