There seemed to be a bunch of weak packs to start this draft and the Red deck was the only thing coming so I went with it. I got rewarded in pack 2 and I even got a late Ember Gale! Pack 3 was pretty disappointing at first but got good towards the end with the three good Blue/Red creatures late.

Round 1 I beat a mono Green deck in two not particularly close games. I had solid draws both games and the Cinder Pyromancer finished him off in the first game once my dudes couldn’t attack through his bigger dudes. Game 2 Riverfall Mimic gave him quite the beatdown since it was followed with a Blue/Red creature every turn ending with the Liege.

Round 2 I played against a mediocre looking White Blue deck. I crushed him in games 1 and 3 but lost game 2 when he put Scourge of Nobilis and Armored Ascension on Safehold Duo.

I beat a Blue Red deck in the finals with a couple solid draws. I might have been in trouble if he drew the Firespout it looked like he was splashing for but it never came up.

I guess this is why everyone likes the Red deck so much.

Until tomorrow…

Rich
