The first pick of this draft was quite interesting. I took Civic Wayfinder over the more powerful Faith’s Fetters and Putrefy. I took the Wayfinder because it leaves my options more open, and leads to a more consistent deck than taking one of the other two. With the two Wayfinders in my deck to start with, I set out to draft the most powerful five-color deck I could. For most of the draft I simply took the best card out of each pack, then towards the end of the second pack, and throughout the third, I paid careful attention to my mana curve. I won the first two rounds fairly easily, including the game I missed on a Fertile Imagination when my opponent had seven cards. I split the third round with Maxamillian Bracht because I had an appointment I couldn’t miss.
