Pack 1 pick 1:

My Pick:

There are too many Esper cards for me to consider picking one.

This was a very close pick but the Bone Splinters are only very good in Unearth strategies while Iguanar will be good in any deck.

At this point Green is only a splash therefore I can’t take Rip-Clan Crasher.

My Pick:

The Panorama could be taken as well but I don’t want to pass a removal spell and I’ve two Iguanars making the Elemental even better.

Pack 2 pick 2:

My Pick:

I like the Obelisk too but most of my spells cost three and the Beetle kills most of my guys.

Probably the first and last time I pick the Drake over Rhox Charger but it just fits perfectly in the deck.

I like Soul’s Majesty and Grixis Slavedriver a lot but Shambling Remains is great in my deck.

Pack 3 pick 2:

My Pick:

I can’t take the Leotau as Green is my third Color. Ember Weaver isn’t a dreamy splash but it should be 3/3 all the time in my deck and I don’t see myself skipping my turn 2 to play Rupture Spire.

Round 1 – Five-color Aggro (Limited rating: 1724)
His deck seems neither good nor stable. This is ood news for me as I don’t draw a Green land in two games and as I have to take a double mulligan in game 1.
In both games I play guys and one removal spells and both times it is surprisingly more than enough to win.

Round 2 Bant (1793)
I think I have game 1 but he plays Swamp and Sphinx Sovereign. Bad news… I’m on five and am one point from killing him on the next turn.
In game 2 his triple mulligan makes the game a lot more simple for me.
In the last game I’ve a great draw and when he eventually plays his big flyer again it’s only to chumpblock my 7/7 Scavanger Drake.

Round 3 Bant(1798)
In game 1 my good draw is easily stopped by his bunch of big guys. I feel like the match is over but topdeck a removal spell to survive in game 2 and put my opponent to one when I draw Maniacal Rage. As we both have the same number of creatures I play it on one of his creature and attack for the win.
In the final game he is never able to stop my Goblin Outlander and I win for the first time when facing Martial Coup. Maybe was it because he only had 5 mana?

Until Monday where we’ll be doing things a little differently…
