P1P2 – I considered Thrinax here but Devil is as good if not better and keeps me in one color for now. I’m obviously hoping for BR after opening Assault though.
P1P4 – If it wasn’t a near certainty that Deathgreeter would table here I’d have taken it.
P1P6 – I could see Blightning here later in the draft.

P2P1 – Open the nuts much?
P2P4 – I guess I’m forced to hate draft here.

After the draft I again felt like I’d been hooked up in this draft and was just hoping I could actually take it down.

Round 1 was against GWr. Game 1 I went for the Lightning Talons on Dregscape Zombie on turn 3 and he had the Oblivion Ring. I ended up getting stuck with Broodmate Dragon in hand and lost to his Rhox Charger when the rest of our men traded up. Game 2 I kept a great hand and got blown out by multiple pump spells and my Predator Dragon looked mighty puny as a 4/4 on turn 6 against his fatties.

I feel like I must be running pretty terrible in these drafts as all of my decks look insane and then don’t play out so well for me. I guess the only thing to do is to keep plugging away as long as I’m drafting well and I feel that I am.

Until Monday…

Nick
