P1P1 – I think Stinger is more flexible here even if Sigiled Paladin is likely far more explosive.

P2P1 – I really wasn’t sure what to do with this pick so I decided to take another Battlemage and hopefully table the Thorn-Thrash Viashino.
P2P6 – Roar is probably right here but I was feeling fiesty with double Jund Battlemage.
P2p7 – I considered the Elder but decided a two-drop was more important at this point.

P3P3 – Like I said Bull Cerodon is massively underrated.
P3P9 – No way Blessing was making it as I’m heavier in GR.

I wasn’t super excited to build or play this deck because the mana was likely going to be awful and the deck seemed very confused overall.

Usually when I’m in Naya I want either aggro or power-five-or-greater and it seems this deck is going in a ton of directions at once.

Round 1 was against UBR. Game 1 he got an amazing draw including double Goblin Deathraiders Fleshbag Marauder and a couple other removal spells. I played out Bull Cerodon but he just had every answer to what I did. Game 2 was very similar to game 1 in that I played Mycoloth as a 6/6 it got bounced and then a few turns later I replayed it as an 8/8 and he had Fleshbag Marauder and Bone Splinters to kill my side. Then I drew Realm Razer when all he had on board was Kederkt Creeper and we were back to square one. I had two lands in my hand which helped and I also drew a couple off of the top to steal the win before he could cast anything else. Game 3 I had Nacatl but he countered with Goblin Deathraiders. I played out some guys against his two Fire-Filed Ogres and things were looking up until he Cruel Ultimatum’d on turn 7 and knocked out my whole hand which included Realm Razer that was coming out on the following turn. Frowner. I tried my best to win after the Ultimatum but he apparently drew the goods off it as well as emptying my hand and I had no real chance.

This deck played out better than I thought it would during the draft so I was happy about that and my opponent’s draws were insane against me all three games.

See you Monday!
