This one was kind of weird in packs 1 and 2 as I was never really sure what colors I was in and my options were completely open. I’m sure there were some picks that could’ve gone different ways but overall I thought I navigated pretty well.
The one thing that sucked about this draft is that I was short on playables and decided to splash Cenn’s Enlistment and Curse of Chains.
Round 1 I played against GW. The game stalled out forever and his two Safehold Duos did a good job of holding the ground. I Firespouted at some point and reset some things and then played Regal Force drawing four cards. Sadly this wasn’t enough as he just kept playing huge guys and my Enlistment tokens weren’t able to hold them off forever. I eventually died to Gift of the Deity and an alpha strike when drawing either Ember Gale or Wickerbough Elder would’ve won the game from me (Elder could kill his Prison Term which was holding down my Shielded guy). Game 2 was a disappointment as I immediately mulliganed to five on the play and he curved out including Spawnwrithe pumped by Cankerous Thirst.
Until tomorrow…
