This is an oldie, but a goodie.
If you’re looking to beat up on X/1s such as Delver of Secrets and Young Pyromancer, could I interest you in some Lingering Souls, or perhaps a Goblin
Bombardment? There’s even some Young Pyromancers of your own and Blood Artist, which makes trading off 1/1 tokens incredibly profitable.
This is clearly a take on Sam Black’s old Legacy jam, and I think it looks pretty good right now. Legacy’s creatures are all relatively small, so having
stuff like Young Pyromancer, Lingering Souls, and Bloodghast to combo with Goblin Bombardment looks awesome. There’s a lot of inherent card advantage in
the strategy, so even though you’re not casting Treasure Cruise, you should be able to keep up with them. It can be difficult for U/R Delver to draw
answers to all the crazy stuff you’re doing — Just watch out for Electrickery post-board!
Combo can be a tough matchup since your clock can be anemic at times, but Cabal Therapy gives you a ton of time. Plus, the main combo deck in Legacy right
now is probably Elves, which this deck seems great against.
Honestly, if I had to guess which weird Legacy deck would make the Top 8 of Grand Prix New Jersey this weekend, I’d be betting on Goblin Bombardment.
