Daily Digest: Shardless Vengevines

With Treasure Cruising being all the rage in Legacy, Hymn to Tourach strategies have gone away a bit. But that doesn’t mean you can’t play with Shardless Sultai! See this crazy evolution on one of Gerry’s favorite strategies before #SCGCOL’s $5,000 Premier IQ!

Decks like these are what this column was made for. Without it, these gems might slip through the cracks.

Survival of the Fittest might be banned, but that doesn’t mean we can’t abuse Vengevine in other ways. After all, Intuition and Fauna Shaman are still
legal. It might seem like Fauna Shaman is a little too slow, but Quirion Ranger speeds it up a ton, making it almost as good as Survival was.

Shardless Agent will cascade into another creature a large percentage of the time, allowing you to rebuy your Vengevines with just one card. If you “miss,”
it might be because you hit a Brainstorm or Ancestral Vision, both of which can find another creature. The only true brick is Abrupt Decay, but that
probably means you’re clearing something problematic off the table, giving you more time to find additional creatures.

This deck looks great. The only thing I might consider is adding some Cabal Therapies to the sideboard to help against combo. With cards like Intuition, it
will be a real powerhouse.
