Daily Digest: Kill ‘Em All

Standard is a format dominated by creatures. Sure, there are some planewalkers out there, but we’ve got some of our own, plus plenty of ways to answer
them. For the most part, if you’re killing everything, you’re doing a pretty good job.

So how do we win? Clearly we need hard to kill threats of our own, and the dragon duo of Stormbreath Dragon plus Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker are pretty
resilient. Mogis, God of Slaughter can also do a bunch of damage. The best win conditions are probably a Crater’s Claws to the face and Empty the Pits,
which is basically the black Fireball.

Is this deck without issues? Of course not, but it’s got a lot of generic problem solvers like Thoughtseize and Hero’s Downfall. I’m not sure when black
became the color that had answers to everything, but I don’t think I mind. Good luck getting anything to stick around long.
