The premise is simple — stick an “enchantress” (Eidolon of Blossoms or Verduran Enchantress) and draw a bunch of cards!
With all that mana from Fertile Ground, Overgrowth, and Utopia Sprawl, you’ll be able to make even more mana with Garruk Wildspeaker, Arbor Elf, Voyaging
Satyr, and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, which you can use to point a very large Banefire at your opponent’s head. There’s also the backdoor win condition of
using Garruk Wildspeaker’s ultimate to attack for lethal.
Of course, our opponents aren’t going to make it easy for us, so we have Ghostly Prison and Oblivion Ring to buy a little time. Overall, I think that’s a
bit on the low end, but I can appreciate having a certain amount of business and acceleration in the deck.
Aegis of the Gods out of the sideboard helps against discard effects, and Privileged Position stops them from trying to blow up our enchantments. Overall,
it’s a pretty solid Modern version of a Legacy favorite.
