Daily Digest: Cecchetti Isn’t The Only Master

The high-life endurance rounds of G/W Devotion mirrors have caught everyone’s eye, and it seems like everyone is trying to find the solution before #SCGDAL. If you want to beat this deck, let GerryT show you those who will show you how.

A group of Floridians may have broken the Mastery of the Unseen mirror match with their W/B Constellation build. Doomwake Giants keep their manifesting abilities to a minimum, and Athreos, God of Passage also functions quite well in manifest mirrors.

At dinner on Sunday night, Chris Fennel mentioned the real mirror breaker — Erebos, God of the Dead. Sadly, he didn’t think of it before the tournament.

This deck also has reasonable game against a lot of decks, as it’s able to play an Abzan-ish game, albeit without Siege Rhino. When you’re getting ready for a Standard tournament, you can certainly do worse than Thoughtseize and Hero’s Downfall, but this deck also has a lot of other unique advantages.
