Mardu could really use a card drawer, Jeskai could use a big meaty flier that’s good with its horde of goblin tokens, and both could use some one-mana
removal.
Why don’t we fix that?
OHHELP seems to have done that by mashing the two clans together with a little help from Evolving Wilds, Mana Confluence, and the tri-lands. Mantis Rider
complements Butcher of the Horde quite nicely, forming a tag team of fliers that is difficult to race. Chained to the Rocks and Crackling Doom give the
deck a lot of versatile removal, making Siege Rhino less of an issue.
I’m a little disappointed to see only one Jeskai Ascendancy in the deck considering how good it is with Treasure Cruise, but this deck is far less reliant
on tokens than Yuuya’s deck. I guess you can’t have everything.
I love the merging of these two strategies since they go so well together. I’m definitely going to have to try this one.
