We saw R/U Burn splashing Treasure Cruise do well at Grand San Antonio, but it eventually fell in the quarterfinals. One of the reasons the deck hasn’t caught any traction is because it’s incredibly difficult to beat a Siege Rhino and Fated Conflagration isn’t exactly the best answer.
Disdainful Stroke is a solid choice, but it doesn’t exactly solve the issue, as a Rhino that snuck into play is bad times. Enter Glare of Heresy. With eight lands that make white, we’re not a lock to have it when we need it, but it gives us a good shot. Additionally, there are some Erases in the sideboard, which are great for hitting copies of Courser of Kruphix and Whip of Erebos, two other problematic cards.
I liked this deck when I first saw it and this version looks like it fixes a lot of the problems that the original deck had.
