Since the days of Mythic, the decks have gotten a little stronger, but that doesn’t mean Mythic can’t still compete! After all, we get things like Geist of
Saint Traft and Vendilion Clique, both of which are pretty nice in this deck.
This deck aims to play a Sovereigns of Lost Alara (or Eldrazi Conscription) as quickly as possible. Lotus Cobra is the best for accomplishing that, and the
deck even plays a couple Explores to have really explosive turns. If you don’t have a Cobra, that’s okay because the deck also features plenty of other
mana acceleration like Birds of Paradise, Noble Hierarch, and Knight of the Reliquary.
Cavern of Souls works pretty well with Sovereigns of Lost Alara and Geist of Saint Traft, so I’m somewhat surprised to only see one copy. Regardless, this
deck is a pretty nice take on an old favorite.
