Countdown To Grand Prix Richmond: 2 Days Out — Travel And Lodging!

You can’t play in Grand Prix Richmond if you can’t get there! Cedric Phillips shares the airport, hotel, and parking details you need in today’s Countdown!

Welcome back to the Grand Prix Richmond countdown blog! Yesterday, I introduced you to the wonderful cosplayer, Vanessa Martin, who will be joining Grand Prix Richmond this weekend. So if you’re looking to get a photo with Pia Nalaar or Hazoret the Fervent, The River City is the place to be on May 5-7.

Now that you know all of the reasons to attend Grand Prix Richmond, the only thing left to do is figure out how to get there and where to lay your head at night. So let’s talk travel and lodging today, shall we?

Airports

If you’re flying to Grand Prix Richmond, you’ve only got one airport to choose from: Richmond International Airport. Richmond International Airport is a joint civil-military public airport in Sandston, Virginia, an unincorporated community. The airport is about seven miles southeast of downtown Richmond, the capital of the Commonwealth of Virginia. I’ve flown through RIC quite a few times during my travels for the SCG Tour and have found it rather simple to navigate, so anyone with fears of having to navigate a complex airport can rest easy.
