Daily Digest: Wrapter Broke It

The Magic World Championships are starting to give us a clear picture of the Modern metagame. No deck seems better equipped to tear apart the competition for the $5,000 Premier IQ at #SCGPORT than this one!

The World Championships is always an exciting time, as Magic’s best bring their “A” game, and most importantly, their “A” decks. So far, they have not
disappointed me.

Josh Utter-Leyton (AKA Wrapter) brought a combo/control hybrid that the majority of his team played, all to pretty good records. His deck isn’t as flimsy
as the rest of the Jeskai Ascendancy combo decks and actually has the tools to play a longer game. This combo deck isn’t looking to kill you as soon as
possible, this deck is trying to prolong the game until it can set up an unbeatable win.

For people who would bring in a bunch of enchantment or creature removal, Wrapter sideboards into the Gifts Ungiven / Unburial Rites package, giving him
another angle entirely. If you want to play Jeskai Control or a combo deck in Modern, perhaps you should try a mix of both.
