At this point, we have names for all the shards, wedges, and guilds — we need a good name for a deck that is the full five colors. Domain doesn’t quite
cut it here.
This deck is beautiful. It has some of the most powerful cards in Modern like Siege Rhino, some of the underplayed gems like Falkenrath Aristocrat and
Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, and even has some maindeck hate in the form of Meddling Mage and Anafenza, the Foremost. Even the manabase is rock solid. What
more could you ask for?
Some spells to interact with our opponents might be nice, but we can’t have it all. I guess we’ll have to settle for using undercosted beaters and hoping
it’s good enough.
Spoiler Alert: It’s usually good enough.
The sideboard could also use some help, but Spellskite is a great start. Things like Qasali Pridemage, Sin Collector, and Orzhov Pontiff are also pretty
nice. I’m not seeing too many situations in which Lavinia of the Tenth is getting the job done though.
