This deck was decent, although not spectacular. Looking back, it seems like I was in the right colors but the packs didn’t quite break my way.


I lost a quick round 1 to what appeared to be an average Green/Black deck. I won the first game easily with a great curve that included turn 2 Ephemeron. My draws were much worse in the next two games. In both games we both played our hands, and then at the end he was left with spells, I merely had lands.


This deck was lacking the card advantage sources that make Green/Blue decks work, and since I didn’t draw any Nantuko Shamans in the later two games, I was overwhelmed when I had to make two-for-one trades when I double blocked.
