The Disney Lorcana team has announced individual bans in two of the game’s most popular formats — Core Constructed and [Format Coconut].
Core Constructed – My Adventure Book

Despite their rather conservative approach to banning cards, Disney Lorcana’s design team has opted to take action against My Adventure Book in the Core Constructed format.
According to developers, My Adventure Book has fueled the rise of an archetype that plays little to no characters – a strategy that, while valid, they feel is “…too far away from the fun and dynamic play principles…” of the game. Since Lorcana was built to feature characters at the forefront of deckbuilding design, a deck that is incentivized to ignore that key principal leads to many awkward games with “…frustrating, repetitive, or un-interactive gameplay.”
[Format Coconut] – Bend to My Will

Back in July, Disney Lorcana soft launched their constructed multiplayer format, code named [Format Coconut], and after gathering several months worth of feedback on it, the design team has opted to ban Bend to My Will.
While the seven-cost super rare has little to no impact on other formats, designers have stated that [Format Coconut] is meant to be a “…fun, social experience where players show off their love of Disney by building decks around their favorite Disney Lorcana cards…” and Bend to My Will simply doesn’t support that philosophy, with games immediately grinding to a halt when it’s played.
With this announcement, the Disney Lorcana ban list now has a total of three cards banned across all formats, with the third being Hiram Flaversham – Toymaker in Infinity Constructed.
