P1P1 Obviously I don’t like committing on the first pick but I think Charm is significantly better than Thunder in my opinion.
P1P5 Land is close here but I decided to take Iguanar since it is amazing and all and still fine on the splash in GWr.
P2P4 Welkin Guide is obviously very close here and I decided to take the better curve card.
P2P9 Another shot at this pick and again I went with the Elf largely due to curve issues.

The deck ended up satisfactory even if it wasn’t one of the best decks I’ve ever had.
Round 1 I played against Naya. Game 1 I got a good draw with Cylian Elf into Guardians and then Benediction. All he played was a Skyward Eye that I eventually O’ Ringed. After this he killed every guy I played and I got flooded and died to Jungle Weaver and Rhox Charger. Game 2 I mulliganned into a decent hand and the top of my deck was kind allowing me to run him over with creatures and pump. Game 3 I got a fast draw and overpowered him while he spent his turns cycling big monsters and not doing much else.
Round 2 I played against Grixis. Game 1 I played Nacatl and and a bunch of Exalted stuff which got him pretty low on life before he stabilized with Covenant of Minds and a bunch of removal. Game 2 he had to have kept a marginal hand because he got stuck on two and when he ripped a land he couldn’t even cast anything. This was on turn 5 so I won pretty easily. Game 3 was a tight game and ended up coming down to my Sigil Blessing. I attacked with everything and then played Blessing after he tapped out to kill a guy and it was exactly lethal.
I split the finals due to round 2 taking forever to start and the draft almost interfering with prior commitments.
Until tomorrow…
