Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has released its weekly update article for MTG Arena, highlighting this week’s Dark Tutelage Event, Qualifier Weekend, and more.
Wilds Of Eldraine Festival Dark Tutelage Event Begins Thursday
The Dark Tutelage Alchemy festival begins Thursday and runs through Monday. Players bring an Alchemy deck for Best-of-One play, but each turn you draw an additional card and lose life equal to its mana value. Entry fee is 2,500 gold or 500 gems and you can play as much as you want once you are in the queue. Each win, up to five, earns you an adventure card style. The five prizes are: Gumdrop Poisoner, Devouring Sugarmaw, Heartflame Duelist, Virtue of Persistence, and Kellan, the Fae-Blooded.
Qualifier Play-In, Qualifier Weekend Set For This Weekend
Players can queue for this weekend’s Qualifier Weekend by playing in the Qualifier Play-In on Friday. The Qualifier Play-In is Best-of-Three Sealed Wilds of Eldraine, which prepares you for the Qualifier Weekend being the same format. The Play-In costs 20,000 gold, 4,000 gems, or 20 Play-In Points to enter and you need to reach four match wins before a loss to qualify for the Qualifier Weekend, which starts Satuday. Each Day of the Qualifier Weekend event is Best-of-Three Sealed Wilds of Eldraine. Players need to hit seven wins before two losses on Day 1 to qualify for Day 2. Do it again on Day 2 to qualify for the Arena Championship and next Pro Tour. Prizes also include gems based on number of wins. Get more information of Qualifier Weekend events here.
