2022 MOCS Season 2 Showcase Qualifiers This Weekend
Qualifiers for the 2022 MOCS Season 2 Champions Showcase start this weekend. Each Showcase Qualifier is a Swiss-style event with a Top 8 playoff, where the winner earns a spot in the final Showcase event and a chance to win their share of $70,000 and an invitation to the 2023 Magic World Championship.
Entry fee is a matching token of the format of the Showcase. For more info on these events, check out the details for Showcase Qualifiers here.

Khans Of Tarkir Phantom Flashback Drafts Return
The fan-favorite Khans of Tarkir Limited format returns tomorrow, continuing the series of single-week Draft events. You can view the upcoming schedule below.
- August 3–10: Khans of Tarkir Flashback – Phantom
- August 10–17: Core Set 2020 – Keeper
- August 17–24: Time Spiral Remastered Flashback – Phantom
- August 24–31: Dominaria Flashback – Phantom
Flashback (Phantom) entry options: 10 Event Tickets; 100 Play Points; or 2 boosters of that set & 2 Event Tickets
Regular (Keeper) entry options: 12 Event Tickets; 120 Play Points; or 3 boosters of that set & 2 Event Tickets
League times: Start 10 AM PT on first day; close (no new entries) 10 AM PT on last day; end (no new matches) 2 PM PT on last day
Showcase Last Chance Events End Tomorrow
Until Wednesday, players can enter Showcase Last Chance events. “These five-round events cost either 30 Event Tickets plus 40 Qualifier Points, or 300 Play Points plus 40 QPs to enter. If you win all five matches, you will earn an Entry Token good for that format’s Showcase Qualifier next month.”
Season 2 QPs Expiration
Due to a larger than normal number of accounts with Season 2 QPs, the expiration date is being extended through August 17.
August Features Double Masters 2022 Duels On Weekends
A new type of a Limited event comes to Magic Online this month, with two seven-round Double Masters 2022 Sealed tournament on each Saturday and Sunday in August. The events start at 1 AM PT and noon PT each day and cost 45 event tickets or 450 play points.
The prizes for each Double Masters 2022 Duels comes down to win totals.
- 7 wins — 900 play points, 50 treasure chests, Double Masters 2022 regular set, 40 Season 3 QPs
- 6 wins — 600 play points, 25 treasure chests, 30 Season 3 QPs
- 5 wins — 450 play points, 10 treasure chests, 20 Season 3 QPs
- 4 wins — 350 play points, 5 treasure chests, 10 Season 3 QPs

Format Challenges are scheduled to run every weekend for the foreseeable future and are the first step to qualifying for Premier Play. The schedule for upcoming Format Challenges can be found below:
