Tonight’s episode of Weekly MTG will offer players a first look at the follow up to the much celebrated Commander Legends.
Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate will be the second Commander set designed to be drafted and is scheduled to be released on June 10. The set will be a crossover with Dungeons & Dragons and produced details have revealed that the set will feature a new, fourth dungeon to go along with the three from Adventures in the Forgotten Realms.
Similar to the first version of Commander Legends, the set is designed to play Limited Commander. Players can draft or play sealed, picking cards or building decks around the multitude of legendary creatures in the product. Booster packs will contain 20 cards, two legendary creatures, and a non-legendary rare or mythic rare. Booster fun treatments will include the rulebook frames from Adventures in the Forgotten Realms, borderless cards, and foil-etched legends.
The prerelease for Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate is set for June 3-9. Watch the Weekly MTG stream at 5:30 PM ET for the first look at the upcoming set.
