Toledo earned an invite to the Strixhaven Championship and $1,500 by winning the 301-person event while only dropping a single match in the Swiss. Toledo was one of six players in the Top 12 on Jund decks built around Cauldron Familiar and Witch’s Oven and entered the elimination rounds as the No. 8 seed. Toledo defeated Gavin Bennett on Sultai Ramp (Yorion) in the wildcard round then took down the top-seeded Luca Moretti in a mirror in the quarterfinals. Toledo had to win against Connor Mullaly on Jund Sacrifice (Jegnatha), to reach the finals, where Lukas Schwendinger on Gruul Aggro awaited. Toledo won 2-0 as the ant-creature deck picked apart the aggressive deck featuring three copies of Collected Company and Embercleave.

Other archetypes to make the elimination rounds include: Selesnya Company, Mono-Blue Spirits❄, and Mono-Red Aggro. Mono-Red Aggro is built like a Burn deck, utilizing Ramunap Ruins and Thermo-Alchemist. Mono-Blue Spirits❄ dips into snow for Ascendant Spirit while harnessing counterspells and Auras like Curious Obsession and Curiosity.
