P1p2 Ultimatum isn’t the most castable and trilands are always a good bet.
P1p7 I could conceivably go Bant even though I’m not a huge fan.
P2p3 With two Courier’s Capsules at this point the potential three-for-one off Gargoyle outweighs the Executioner’s Capsule.
P3p3 I still don’t like Infest particularly in a deck that looks to be heavily UW.
Round 1 versus Naya
G1 My opponent led with a Dragon’s Herald which is usually good news. Even if they do have a Hellkite (bad) the Herald is pretty sketchy so that helps your cause. I never saw a Black creature so it’s possible the Herald was just a Mons’s Goblin Raiders. Either way I used Courier’s Capsules and Sanctum Gargoyles to draw a bunch of cards and kill him with an ever-increasing army of fliers.
G2 This was much like the first game as my opponent’s deck seemed a bit subpar and mine certainly wasn’t. I played some fliers Excommunicated a guy and finished it with Battlegrace.
Round 2 versus Jund/Grixis
G1 I’m not really sure what my opponent is doing as I see all the colors but White. The deck seems fine though and I trade my creatures for his removal coming out ahead thanks to all the two-for-ones in my deck. I eventually manage to land the Angel and he has no way to stop it.
G2 He mulliganed to 5 and I had a very good draw. I was maybe three turns away from winning when my internet died for half an hour which was pretty annoying. I figured that even though I lost to random disconnection this was still a good draft especially given that I likely make the finals at the very least (I had a pretty huge advantage over my opponent this game although I guess it is technically possible for me to lose).
