The companion change doesn’t hit Magic Online until June 3, so Monday’s Modern Super Qualifier was still packed with Lurrus of the Dream-Den decks, including the winner Zonast on Lurrus Grixis Delver. While Delver strategies tend to come up short in Modern, this build is made for a longer game with controlling elements and extra recursion once Lurrus gets online. Sprite Dragon is the extra threat, benefiting from all the cards that help transform Delver of Secrets. Snapcaster Mage ties it altogether, letting the deck play a tempo gameplan or a controlling one.

Zonast defeated NeoBrand in the quarterfinals and Lurrus Devoted Devastation in the semis before facing Lurrus Jund Death’s Shadow in the finals in the hands of __BMJ__. Zonast breezed through the elimination bracket, winning each match 2-0.
