Release Of Jumpstart: Historic Horizons On MTG Arena Delayed

The release of Jumpstart: Historic Horizons has been delayed

Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has announced they will be pushing the release of Jumpstart: Historic Horizons back two weeks to August 26.

A few weeks ago, WotC announced in their monthly State of the Game that they would be conducting an extensive update to their backend systems, which would be causing some bumps along the way for MTG Arena players, including a split ranked season and more. According to the article, the backend changes, which will be requiring more time than originally thought, are tied to the release of Jumpstart: Historic Horizons as well as the new Historic Brawl queue, and will thus be delaying both until August 26.

Since the delay will be pushing Historic Horizons into the release timeline of Innistrad: Midnight Hunt, events will be extended through October 14.

Premium Historic Drafts

In order to thank players for their patience, MTG Arena will be hosting three sets of Premium Historic Drafts, where each player’s first entry to an event is free. Each set will stick around for about five days before moving onto the next.
