Channel Fireball Announces MagicFest Online

Channel Fireball has announced a new, online, daily tournament series!

With all major Magic events currently cancelled or postponed, Channel Fireball has announced a new tournament series that aims to bring the excitement of MagicFests to MTG Arena.

Daily qualifier events will take place at four times per day at 3AM, 9AM, 3PM and 9PM PT and have an entry fee of $25. Players boasting a record of 5-1 or better will move on to the Weekly Championship. Additionally, each player that participates in one of these events will receive a “coupon for one free Booster Draft at a live MagicFest (up to $20 value).”

Weekly Championships will take place each Saturday and Sunday and have a prize pool of $25,000, The Top 8 players from each Weekly Championship will receive invites to the Players Tour Series 2, and the Top 32 will be invited to the Season Finals, a $50,000 tournament with “32 Players Tour Series 2 invitations and two invites to the Players Tour Finals Minneapolis” on the line.

According to Channel Fireball, the “structure of the tournament, coverage, and the program will change over the coming weeks” and encourage players to be flexible as they work to create the “best experience possible”.

Details concerning registration are scheduled for release this coming Sunday, with coverage beginning Monday morning at 9AM PT on twitch.tv/channelfireball.
