Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Gabriel Nassif, check out a counterspell reprint from Core Set 2021 that works perfectly with Wilderness Reclamation – Rewind.
Originally from Urza’s Saga, Rewind was most recently reprinted in Modern Masters 2017. This will be the first time Rewind is Standard legal since its printing in Core Set 2013.
While it can’t protect Wilderness Reclamation on the stack, with the enchantment on the battlefield you can not only counter a spell, but also play another four-mana card like Chemister’s Insight or Nightpack Ambusher.
Rewind didn’t see a ton of play the last time it was in Standard, but who knows what can happen in Magic in 2020. Simic Flash looks to be the other current deck that could put it to good work.
